INTRO - Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation that aims to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development. We are over 15.000 volunteers based in 40 countries and we offer services to more than 350.000 students across Europe. Through the principles of Students Helping Students, ESN works to improve the social and practical integration of international students, and to represent the needs and rights to those students on local, national and international level.
I've had the opportunity of being part of ESN Gent as a communication manager during the academic year 2019-2020. Being a board member enriched me and leaded me to growth both professionally and personally.

When you go back it is not the same anymore. And after a while you start to look for the exchange students again. Only to get a taste of the old feeling back. Of the Erasmus spirit. We don't talk about it, but after a while you watch them and you realize that your time has passed. You know what Erasmus has given to you, but no else back home does. And the fire comes up again and you start to understand what they once said: once erasmus, always erasmus.
